Last week we celebrated Austin’s 1st Birthday! Yey!
We had the party at Max’s Restaurant at Al Ghurair, Deira. It was a last minute change on the venue. We were supposed to celebrate it at Hot Palayok in Al Karama but due to the limited space, we had to cancel. We are very fortunate that Hot Palayok refunded our deposit 100%. Once we received our deposit back, we went straight to Max’s to book the date of the party.
Here are some of the highlights of the party <3 – our theme: Little Monsters!
The night before the party, we went to Max’s to set up. We went to the venue at 10:30pm, as it was the only time we are allowed to set up since there won’t be too many people at the restaurant.
Our friends in the Couples for Christ community helped us to prepare the things that we will need for the party. From the loot bags to the main backdrop, they were there to support us and we finished at 1:30am! Max’s provided someone from their team as well to help us set up the balloons.
Took a family photo before the party began.
The party started at 12noon. But we were already at the venue by 11:00am just to do some of the finishing touches of the venue.
Sweets table: Covered with little monsters. We bought the pompoms and the fans at a party supplies shop at Dragon Mart 1 (Shop Number FAF-05 – QZH FZCO). The other monster were printed in Eva foam as what our friend calls it and bought it from Day to Day. I got the monster images from freepik.com (link 1, link 2). They have loads of designs available for download!
DIY Loot Bags: We got the bags from Daiso and put monster stickers on them to add a touch of the theme.
Seat plan, bottle with designs, and table numbers: All designed with the same theme.
Austin’s printed photos: Our good friend – shout to The Palomeras! Kuya Aries and Ate Mich – helped us print the photos of Austin. They helped us print the seat plan as well. An easel was available at Max’s, we only had to borrow an additional one for Austin’s photo
We booked Pinoy Payaso UAE for the Party Clown, Game Host, Balloon Bending and Magic Show. They are very professional and are well experienced. They really get to entertain all the guests and keep the party lively. They are good with kids as well. One of the things I like is that when one or two kids gets to always win a game, they would ask the kid to share the prize to another kid.
Max’s all had their mascot available at party. Of course, all the kids enjoyed having the mascot…except for Austin who cried after realizing there’s a big chicken on his party! 😀
The Birthday Cake!
Austin’s Ninang, Tine Cuevas, made the birthday cake and cupcakes. Very talented and passionate when it comes to baking. She co-owns, Pan De Malditas. We also borrowed from her most of the jars and plates at the sweet tables.
Our lovely guests who celebrated with us. Thank you the love and time your gave to our family! <3
Our guests were from the CFC Community, our relatives, Tatay’s high school batch mates, and my former office mates
We got home by 4:00pm and Austin took a nap first before opening his gifts. Thank you for all the beautiful gifts.
Austin got a lot of toys, clothes, books and of course, his wish list, his toiletries! We are stocked again for many months! Thank you! <3
The main highlight of the party, our little one’s first candle blow <3
Happy Happy Birthday, Austin! Nanay and Tatay loves you so much. You are the greatest blessing in our life. We will always be here to guide, love and support you. Thank you for coming to our life and making us parents. You are truly a prayer come true!
